Manchester United's hard-won victory at Arsenal has moved the current champions a step closer to the top of Division 1.

Thanks to rivals Manchester City, who defeated the previously third-place West Bromwich Albion 4-1, United have overtaken the West Midlands club, and remain just a point behind Preston North End. However, the Red Devils' goal average is inferior to that of the Deepdale side.

Wolves travel to Old Trafford on Saturday.
