If he was on the books of any other English team, Bent would surely be a regular first team player, but unfortunately for him he finds himself behind United captain Roger Byrne in the current United squad.

An aggressive tackler, Bent can play on the right side of defence as well as the left, and is noted for his speed, distribution and great calmness.
