It's hard to believe that David Pegg is only 22 years old - the former schoolboy prodigy made his United debut all of 5 years ago, and is an established face in the Old Trafford set-up.
In contrast to his rivals for the wingers' positions, Pegg's strength is in his ball-playing skills rather than in his speed. Rather than going outside the full-backs, his favourite trick is to cut inside and treat the opposition goalkeeper to one of his trademark left-foot rockets. That said, he can also cross a ball, and when Tommy Taylor is waiting on the end of one of his deliveries, either tactic can be devastating. |
