History of Monday night football

What Is Monday Night Football?

The MBF is a live television streaming of weekly games of the National Football League or NFL that ran in the US from 1970 up to the present time. It was first broadcasted on ABC on the said year until 2005 and now you can watch it on ESPN.

When Did the Monday Night Football Start?

The when it first started on September 21, 1970. The first game that was played in the MNF was the New York Jets versus the Cleveland Browns. Since then, the NFL continued the MNF games every week until today.

Who Were the First MNF Announcers?

The first person who got the privilege to be the first play-by-play announcer of the long-time running sports television streaming was Keith Jackson on 1970. After one year, he was then succeeded by Frank Gifford who became the announcer for more than a decade from 1971 to 1985. After Frank Gifford, Al Michaels came next to him who became the game announcer for almost 20 years which is from 1986 until 2005.
